Even people that cannot wait to get to the beach for a day of basking in the sun want to escape the harsh rays occasionally throughout the day. Additionally, there are some folks who simply enjoy going to the beach but are either too fair-skinned to enjoy the sun or who simply would rather not have their skin tanned from exposure. All of these people and more need to make sure that they bring an appropriate umbrella with them when they visit the beach.
A beach umbrella to shield your skin from the harmful effects of the sun can be just as important as wearing sunscreen. It is a handy piece of equipment to have on the beach for several reasons. The first, and most obvious, is that it provides shade from the UVA and UVB rays of the sun. Even the most devout beach bum can use a couple of breaks from the sun every now and then throughout the day.
The second reason is that an umbrella provides a handy marker for the location of your stuff. If you decide to get some exercise from walking on the beach or if you go into the water for a quick swim workout. Without an umbrella to mark your spot, you could comeback and your beach chairs and towels are lost among a sea of beach-goers, leaving you more vulnerable to theft for the simple reason that you don’t know where your stuff is.
Third, it makes for a social place for congregation of your group of beach buddies. Sit on your beach chair or pull up a cooler and you have a bona fide gathering of all of your beach friends – the ones you came with and the ones you just met.
